Backstop® takes your privacy seriously. We do our utmost to safeguard your data and always get your permission before sharing your story with our food allergy care partners.

What are Huddles by Backstop®?

Backstop® Huddles are intimate small groups of members who join live to meet, learn and find support around navigating life with food allergies. Each Huddle is led by who is also a parent of kids with food allergies and can share about their personal experiences.

The professional is there to help create a safe, supportive space for us to collectively learn, grow, and connect across meaningful topics. Join when things are going well and when you feel overwhelmed. Discover trusted advice, tips, information and support from other parents like you.

Whether you’re completely new to the world of food allergy or have been managing the condition for years, our tech and service are designed to help you and your family find a personalized care plan that works for your unique journey.

Either way, we will be there with you step-by-step, day-by-day. From prevention and diagnosis to management, treatment and ongoing care, our compassionate network of US-Licensed providers have you covered every step of the way.

We work with families with a wide range of food allergy histories and all kinds of different health and lifestyle needs. Our childhood food allergy experts see and live with the impact of allergies on a kid’s life everyday and are here to help and support even complex stories.

Can Backstop® help me find the right allergist for my child?

If you haven’t found the perfect allergist yet, we will introduce you to one of our preferred partner locations and provide end-to-end support for services that cannot be effectively done virtually.

There are many allergists, but few have a primary focus on food allergy. Unfortunately we see a lot of children misdiagnosed with food allergy. We’ll help you find a compassionate specialist with deep experience performing “food challenges” – a gold standard diagnostic tool to rule out certain food allergies and make your life a little easier. We’ll help with the referral and work directly with the specialist to build your child’s personalized action plan.

How can I access additional support?

As a Backstop®Plus+ member, you will get special pricing on live consultations with our growing team of US-Licensed Professionals who specialize in comprehensive food allergy prevention, diagnosis, management and treatment planning.

Is Backstop® covered by insurance?

We are not covered by insurance at this time. We do, however, work collaboratively with employers who want to address the food allergy needs found within their employee populations, and we can work with payers, brokers, and directly with families to address their concerns, cut prescription costs and relieve stress.

Our direct payment option is designed to be affordable and accessible to everyone - so that you can have full access to the food allergy solutions you so deserve.
